Also, the granted power is no more potent than, say, a free (very useful!) feat granted by other domains. Your spell list grows... so what? Cleric spells are already so powerful that their limitations are how many they can learn for a day, and how many they can manage to cast in the short amount of time that doing so would be useful. More spells? As long as your player with the cleric can sort through his spells before the session, where's the problem?

The description and the spells suggest the domain of a Chaotic Cleric / Rogue type deity. Personally, I would think that this would be a deity followed by ring leaders, mafia heads, crime bosses, etc.

If it is lawful, it is lawful in the sense of the mob being lawful (ie: their own code that all who are a part of the "family" must follow). I would think that non-good might be a better alignment restriction than Lawful. Hmm, perhaps a True Neutral or Neutral Evil deity of organized crime? That would allow for any alignment or any non-good alignment, so say it is a NE deity's domain.

I would change the name, however, as Emiment Domain is defined as "The right of a government to appropriate private property for public use, usually with compensation to the owner." This doesn't work with several the spells suggested. Why appropriate another's house when you can use "Magnificent Mansion" or "Secure Shelter"? On the other hand, for a crime family / syndicate / organization, this would work quite well.

Thus the reason I think you should change the name of the domain to "Organized Crime Domain" or something akin to a Mob / Mafia style name for the domain.


Just as an aside, why did you come up with this domain? Is it for a character of yours? Is it an experiment to see if you can create a domain for a lawful deity of theft? I'm not sure the last will work, but it is an interesting concept to play with, I'll admit.
