A Mis-read post title led to this... PrC

First Post
When I read the title to "http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=212607" (Packmaster PrC) I, for some reason, thought "Packrat" instead.

So I basically think I just spent an inordinate amount of time creating a flavorful PrC that absolutely NO ONE in their right minds would want to play! lol... Maybe an NPC in a talented SH DM's campaign.... Pcat, maybe?

Here it is... open to critique:

Packrat

The fighter and the wizard stand in deep conversation as the cold mists swirl around them. The cleric pulls her cowl tighter around her shoulders, trying to stay warm. Suddenly, forms begin to charge through the fog, a deep unholy bellow preceding them. The wizard draws his wand, and the fighter wearily lifts his sword, needing rest.
From behind a nearby tree comes waddling the short dwarf, covered in jangling pots, odd rope coils, and bandoliers of pouches and pockets. "I have just the thing to ward these foul beasts off," he bellows.
The party turns and waits, not wanting to use the rest of their meager resources if the stout fellow can follow through.
"Now I had it right here... wait... No, not in that pocket, idiot... hold on, let's think... last time I saw it was with that OTHER little green thing... hmmm..."
The party sighs and turns back to the incoming onslaught. This could be it.
A Purple Glow erupts behind them and 7 of the 9 blackened grisly creatures crumple unnaturally to the frost covered ground.
"There it is!"

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Packrat prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:
Packrats gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor. (see Frying Pan below.)

Where Did I Put That:
Every item on a Packrat's inventory sheet must be numbered. Each day the packrat can "memorize" (like a wizard with her spells) the location of 5 items per Packrat level. Any other item that needs to be found must be rolled by a %d (or a %d and a d2 for 100+ items, %d and a d3 for 200+ items, etc). If you get within 10 in either direction, you can find the object as a move-equivalent action. If you get within 20 in either direction, you can find the object as a standard action. If you get within 50 in either direction, you can find the object as a full-round action. Over 50, and the Packrat cannot remember where the item is, and may try again the next round with no penalty.
if you roll within 1 in either direction, you find the object as a free action. If you roll the number exactly, you not only find the object as a free action, but you presciently find the "next" object you will search for as well. (Even if you character doesn't know what it is, yet.)
The number scale wraps around.
At 4th level, all of the rolling areas double in size. (Free action is within 2 in either direction, move-equivalent within 20, etc)

One Man's Trash:
A Packrat may, during any non-initiative based action, attempt to purloin any unattended object. If the object is in plain sight, the Packrat may make a Sleight of Hand check (DC based on ownership and owner's proximity. Automatic if object is obviously discarded) with his Int modifier added.
If the Packrat would have to rummage, he may make a Search check with his Dex modifier added.
At every odd Packrat level, add another +1 bonus to those checks.

Emptyhanded: The Packrat is compulsively required to obtain SOMETHING from each locale, tavern, town, etc that he visits. It is a matter of Good Luck for them. Souvenir items with crests, heralds or logos are particularly valuable.
If the Packrat fails a Sleight of Hand or Search check and fails to come away with a suitable souvenir, he will be subject to a mishap of the DM's discretion. (As little as an "embarrassed" penalty to his next check, to suddenly feeling the effects of his carrying capacity.

Caught in the Act: If the Packrat is Caught in the Act of adding to his collection, he gains a temporary +2 Bonus to Dex and Cha and +10ft to base speed for their Packrat level +5 rounds. A silvery tongue and quick feet for those rare instances.

Crammed in Tight:
Treat any Extra-dimensional storage item as one level higher on the scale (pg 248 DMG). Packrats really know how to organize their stuff for maximum storage.

All That Glitters:
In any dealings with a member of the Gnome race, or any artificers, crafters, etc; those characters will gladly pay 5% more per Packrat level for any goods they might be seeking from the Packrat. This begins at 15%, and grows with each new level. This is a status benefit amongst those races and classes affected.

Frying Pan:
The Packrat may improvise a weapon with whatever he picks up. (roll %d) If it is hand sized or smaller, it may be used as a ranged (thrown) weapon at the Packrat's normal attack bonus. If it is larger than hand size, it may be used as a melee weapon. (Imagine the possibilities!)

Swap meet: Upon meeting another advanced Packrat character, the two will immediately (without regards to danger or consequences) sit down and begin comparing their stashes. Without fail, trading occurs. When the Swap Meet ends, 1d6 per combined Packrat levels of random items will have changed inventory sheets (roll %d).

Walking Trash Heap: At 5th level, a Packrat is treated as though he has a +10 bonus to STR in regards to carrying capacity limits (Table 9-1, pg 162, PHB); providing no single object weighs more than 1/40th his weight (i.e. 5 lbs for a 200 lb character), and no "group" of smaller objects meets the same requirements. So a 5th level human Packrat who weighed 200lbs could carry 5 lbs of "coins", 5 lbs of "paper", 5 lbs of "rope", etc.

That is absolutely hilarious. I'm going to make a joke PrC now. I'm inspired. Check it out when you get back on here.
