"and got an idea for working Hobgoblins into the Kessel. Keep in mind this is a very rough almost outline type thing but I'd like to see where it goes." What are Hob-Goblins in Daemonforge? I´d assume they are Ghets (ie spawned at the same time as the Orcs, a orc subrace?). (since Orcs, Giants and similar beings belong to the same "race") "To the south of Egran the majority of the population is made up of Hobgoblins." To the south there is one principality (out of the 21) dominated by Hobgoblins? Could it be one of the principalities that own their allegiance to the LoB... "They are still evil and very expansionistic but have joined with the rest of the mortals in an uneasy alliance against the Fiends." They are strong and ruthless (in their own eyes)..;) "Militarally they are highly valued due to the exceptional infantry that they can field. They are unique among the mortal races due to their almost psycotic aversion to horses and as such have trained long and hard to create the best foot soldiers any principality can offer. This is something of a mixed blessing since they often go to war with neighboring princes over territory and there is a higher concentration of Archons patroling this area than any other location in the Kessel. The Grey King would probably take stronger action against them but fears retrebution by the Lord of Blades with whom the Hobgoblins have a very close relationship. See above.. "Anyhow this isn't everything I have but I need to go to work. Let me know what you think of it so far. If everyone thinks is suxxorz then I'd rather drop it now before I start writeing up a 5 page document on their culture and everything else." In keeping with the Daemonforge theme, it would be better if its a Hobgoblin influenced culture rather than the standard Pure Cultures found in other gameworlds. Ie the principalities "racial stock" is composed of a mixture of hobgoblins and humans, and other races, but with the hobgoblin CULTURE being dominant, and propably heavily influence by veneration of the martial lord of the Forge... Thats just MY opinion.
