A new publisher (sort of...)

Hello everyone!

Many of you have probably been wondering what happened to me and my publishing company (Netherland Games). Here is press release that provides all the details:

Murfreesboro TN- Netherland Games has been shut-down. That’s right. Kaput! Fini! That’s all folks! Not in this town, buddy! Move along, nothing more to see here!

But this isn’t the end.

Actually, it is a beginning. The rights to the Primal Codex and the Book of Broken Dreams have been purchased by my new, personally owned, publishing company – Bloodstone Press. You can visit the web site here: http://www.bloodstone-press.com.

There is a brief explanation of the transition on the FAQ page; I’d prefer not to discuss it here. Rather, I’d like to take this opportunity to discuss my new company and the material I’m working on.

Bloodstone’s first release will be the Hero’s Handbook. This title was stalled in production for nearly a year while the transition to Bloodstone Press was carried out. The Hero’s Handbook will be released on Friday July 11th. You can read about it on the Bloodstone Press web site (http://www.bloodstone-press.com). There is also some free material from the Handbook available on the Web-site and two rather large gif animation “trailers” that you can watch on the Downloads page (http://www.bloodstone-press.com/downloads.html):

Bloodstone will also release a free PDF preview, titled “Lords and Legends,” detailing some selected material from the Hero’s Handbook. It will cover 4 NPCs (and one cohort) and their equipment, spells, feats, backgrounds, appearances, and personalities. Lords and Legends will be available from RPGnow for free on July 8th.

There will also be a re-release of the Primal Codex and the Book of Broken Dreams later this year, both free to anyone who has purchased them already. These new editions will include new material, professional artwork, and hundreds of corrections. You can expect several new monsters and diseases in the Codex, as well as a lot of new art. The Book of Broken Dreams will likely contain a new chapter on mobs, mass hysteria, group-think, and other psycho-social factors. Look for press releases concerning each title in the next few months.

There is also a d20 modern supplement in the works, focusing on the events of WWII. This book is the first of the “ERAS” (TM) series of supplements from Bloodstone Press. “Hell on Earth” will contain rules for all the equipment used during the war, a couple new advanced classes, a chapter covering the mysticism and occultism sought by the nazis as well as other juicy material.

In the meantime, I’m working on a monster book, but that’s all I’ll say about it right now…

So visit the web site, check out the free material, watch the trailers and enjoy!

FANTASTIC to hear you are back!

I've been a fan of your work as Netherland games. You had released the Primal Codex just as I had gotten into e-publishing.

Keep it up!

Good luck with your new(ish) company! I do have a question though: Do you have any plans for or intrest in freelance writers for either whole products or portions of larger ones?

I am working with one freelance writer right now. I'd like to do more, but time and money are somewhat constraining. I'm always willing to look at proposals, though.
