Well my Last Stand of the Dorinthians homebrew campaign has been over for quite some time and now I'm pondering grabbing the DM chair again. Some ideas to throw around and fish for interest: Long Campaigns: A.) Isles of Chaos: Last Stand dealt with cultures akin to the Romans, Germanics, Greeks, Thracian and Hun horse tribes with the Dorinthians being a cross between Huns and Thracians. Isles of Chaos will continue the world that Last Stand of the Dorinthians took place in, but this will occur on a version of the 9th century British Isles and the power struggles of the Picts, Celts, Angles, Saxons, and Norse. The party may choose to be from one group . The elves will be the Celts (stealth and magic), the Picts will be half-orcs, and the dwarves warrior-Norse and gnomes skald-Norse. All races may be adopted by any of the other races and learn their ways, but humans will be primarily Angle-like and Saxon-like. Halflings will be akin to gypsy travellers and misc traders. I would like to try BECMI, CnC with 1st edition add-ons, or 3.5 for this. B.) Wilderlands of High Fantasy: We'll choose a city out of the world, and the party will set out in a direction and free-style it. This will be completely free-wheeling and I'll make it up as I go using the Wilderlands of High Fantasy box set. The game will end once the characters carve a solid niche for themselves and start a new point of light in the chaotic land. I would like to try BECMI, CnC with 1st edition add-ons, or 3.5 for this. Short Campaigns: C.) X-Crawl: I may use the Brooklyn or Coney Island adventure and the characters will go through this one-shot and try to survive. I just purchased the core book, Sell Outs, and some modules since I have a new love for this game. Players do not need the books to enjoy this, but will need 3.5 edition. D.) Wicked Fantasy Factory: I have two of these modules, also. They are short and bloody and caters to a Mortal Kombat feel. All the characters need are the 3.5 core books and some UFC videos. Intermediate Campaign: E.) BECMI module of my choice or campaign of my design: I'll try to pick a somewhat short module from my BECMI stack and we can play an old school game. Either BECMI or CnC with 1st edition add-ons for this. Whether or not we decide to run with this, I will not be ready to start until December, but I can do the prep work for the next few weeks with volunteers.
