I was there for about six months, and it was kind of suprising that I ended up playing D&D. I kind of wound up hanging out with a lot of cool people who wanted to play. The weekends were pretty wild, in the bar district. Also I was amazed out how modern parts of many of China's cities were. Being in Shanghai gave me that feeling of watching "Akira". Its hard to describe, but I guess it boils down to mammoth state-of-art skyscrapers with Oriental buildings dotting the streets below.  I saw also lot of cool temples and things like, including the Shaolin Temple which inspired a few things later on in the campaign. Seeing little kids beat the hell out of each other using techniques that look like they'd kill normal people was really fun. The most amazing technique I saw, was a young teenager sitting Indian style and holding himself off the ground with only two fingers.I also saw Xinjiang, the mainly Muslim Chinese province bordering Afganistan. I saw beautiful Buddhist ruins, the Flaming Mountain from Journey to the West, and also went riding with some Kazach horsemen. Xinjiang was definetely my favorite place in China, and I hope to visit it again someday when the political situation calms down a bit.Anyway Rune if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
