Papolstaanas looks profoundly uncomfortable. Have people really been spying on him all this time? And how long have they been spying on him? And if this was all a setup, all of it, would that mean that they were spying on him even before Seamus came and offered him a job? What could they have seen? Papolstaanas struggles to remember what horribly embarrassing things he's done lately. This is even worse than having Jynxx around, with his evil mind-reading abilities--this is a whole group of people who aren't even friendly watching his every move, maybe even when he does disgusting personal things and... Papolstaanas shudders. But why would they want to watch him? He isn't really interesting enough to be watched, is he? No--he's really quite boring. His companions are the interesting ones, probably--the ones that actually make the watching worthwhile. Which actually gives him an idea that makes him start snickering uncontrollably.
