A note to publishers

Well I better write this at once :)

I have been offered some freebie copies of products lately (which ones and from which companies don't really matter).

This is why you shouldn't offer me freebies.

  1. I proclaim neutrality on the field since I have started to do some works and helping publishers out with some web stuff and wanna stay neutral in the market and not to show any bias.
  2. I'm not a good reviewer, nor do I have time to review stuff since I do a lot of other things and I will have a busy schedule the next couple of months.
  3. Don't offer me stuff unless you really wanna give me the product, I wanna support publishers with my own money not getting anything for free since I cannot give something back 'cept for web design and system development which most of you doesn't need.
    [/list=1]

So in summary, unless you want to give/offer me free products just because you feel I'm a nice lad, don't since I feel bad about stealing from the d20 companies out there. I say steal since I get a product for free and from where I come nothing is free and if you give me something I want to give something back. Just getting something for doing nothing makes me feel bad and don't put me in that situation please.

Well that's enough of my little odd post, in summary don't send me freebies :)

GOD NO! Don't listen to Liquide, he has fallen off his rocker. A few too much vodka at the last crabfish party in Sweden.. Too much stinker fish. Just forget his post and send him the freebies so he can pass them on to me!!! ;) :D

Exactly,

I send out comp issues of Scrollworks all the time. I figure that the person I send it to might enjoy reading it. If he enjoys it, maybe he'll recommend it to a friend. Or, maybe he'll pass it around. Word of mouth advertising is good stuff.

Oh don't get me wrong here :), I'm not racking down on anyone I just say that I don't feel that I'm enough of a person or can do enough for you as a publisher to have the rights to get a promo or freebie. Call it pride, call it stupidity but that is how I work. I cannot accept something I feel I doesn't deserve.

That is me, I only accept what I'm worth and what I deserve not a penny more, it will not make me rich but I feel better about myself this way :)

I volunteer to cover all of the free stuff that our good web designer here cannot bring himself to do. Just send it my way... yeah, it'll get reviewed... yeah, that's the ticket. ;)

Next up! Joe's Book of Enchantment. Pretty potent little book there.
