Another session this week. Agatha the banshee went without a hitch. Then back to town where a strange illness is going around. One of the characters has formed a physical relationship with sister Garaele and was quiet worried about her. She is very ill. They did not try and work out the location of the treasure map which was a shame, I would have liked them to go to Thundertree. Gundren was all ready with equipment and leads the group to the mine. They find the corpse of Gundren's brother, and he was distraught. But further into the mine they go, encountering an ocher jelly which was pretty easily defeated. Then past a dark lake and up some stairs. Suddenly the druid at the back of the party is attacked by a giant snake that launches from the lake, loops around him and starts dragging him into the water. The party starts attacking the snake, but the noise alerts a pack of bugbears that were on the other side of a door. Gundren goes down with one hit. The party are flanked and fighting on both sides, so the snake manages to drag the druid under the water. The druid turns into a shark and starts biting. Eventually they manage to defeat both the snake and the bugbears, and the wave echo is so loud that no-one else is alerted. The paladin tries to heal Gundren and I decided to bring him back. Gundren is so fragile though. I think he will probably keep getting knocked down if he continues with them.
