When (e.g.) Gary took the entry for the Queen of the Chaotic Dragons (in the Greyhawk supplement) as an opportunity to make a sidelong comment about Women's Lib, that was his choice to unnecessarily insert a bit of a reactionary/regressive attitude into the text.I'd rather than the publisher acknowledge such things and acknowledge that they were out of line, rather than say nothing or (even worse) censor the original text.  He hired Jean Wells, though sadly we know that she didn't get the best mentoring and support, she got assigned a lot of filing and admin work in place of design work, and her one major design credit got torpedoed through some combination of internal politics/execs annoyed at Erol Otus' illustrations/sexist slander accusing her of putting kinky S&M content into the module.  Looking forward to it!  And to the sequel to Secrets of Blackmoor!Dave wasn't as prolific in writing, so I'm not sure how much may have been captured.  I do recall hearing that John Norman's Gor novels were apparently inspirational to Dave's game, with characters riding Tarn and engaging in some slave trading.</blockquote>
