a question about WotC editing access

So I'm pretty sure that RAW this thread is in the wrong place, but since this is where the errata is being discussed, I thought it might be okay.

Does anyone know how the Master Printing Files (or whatever they are called) at WotC are kept/accessed? Are they on a special computer in The Rouse's office, with a password only known to the Senior Editor? (Kim Mohan...great job btw, thanks). Are they on a hard drive/flash drive? Are they emailed to the press or mailed/driven?

What I really am curious about is how do you keep the final/current versions harmonized with a whole office working on the product?

I'm guessing it's like the whiteroom from Mission Impossible 1 :D

They're almost certainly using version control software like SourceSafe or Perforce.

Your optimism knows no bounds. :-)

I'll go with a handful of master documents that each person can edit. Backups, but no version control.
