I'd expect any really exciting announcements being made around this time of year to be made at GenCon itself, notwithstanding that WotC wants to shift focus to the convention formerly known as Winter Fantasy. If the release schedule is still as skeletal as it now appears after accounting for any GenCon announcements, that would be the time to ask questions about it.
