A question to my fellow Europeans

Hello...

I'd like to know what the situation of new WotC releases is where you all live. That is, which the newest WotC products are that have been released in your country.

You see, here in Austria, I haven't even seen Deities & Demigods yet, much less Faiths & Pantheons.
Also, the latest Dragon magazine I got here was #294 (and I didn't get #293), while Dungeon magazine stopped after #90 or so...
:(

Thanks in advance,
Darkness

Well, that sums up the situation I am in, too :(.
Bastion of the Broken Souls would be the product with which the problems started here (I think it should have arrived at the same time as Dragon #293?). I really hope these problems will be solved soon. :(

I usally get WotCs new books about a week before they are released in the US, but that may be because I have a 'special deal' with my local RPG pusher.

Last time I checked:

Chtulluh d20 arrived.
SWRE also.

Lastest WotC D&D things I've seen: Deities & Demigods.

d20 system: pretty much everything made by Sword & Sorcery, and its published houses (including FDP before they left). Some of the Odyssey book (like Akrasia: Thief of Time) and some craps like Castle Dunmere. Some FFG books, I've seen Mythic Race, Traps & Treachery, Spells & Spellcraft and Seafarer's Handbook. Mongoose products are quite hard to get, but I've seen Necromancy and Demonology. I havn't ever seen a Kenzer product (maybe because people don't want to bother with a setting whose name sounds like "Kingdom of Littlesquid" in French: Kalamar, calamar; that's not serious).

The latest Dragon I ever saw was also the only issue I ever took: Dragon #285: Halflings. Before that, I have seen the cleric issue. Also, there was the latest Annual issue (the d20 one). Edit: And I've never seen the slightiest Dungeon, except in the "used ware" box were people bring the things they want to discard after they sold it to the shop.

You may have good news coming.

In the UK we used to be consistently a month behind the US in receiving WotC material. Then around the time of WotW we suddenly started getting nothing.

Apparently, up until that time all (most?) European stock was coming into a central warehouse in Belgium and then being distributed onwards to the individual countries. WotC shut down that warehouse and now delivers directly to the UK at least, meaning that we get things much closer to the US release time. Still a few hiccups while the new system gets sorted out.

This *may* mean that there will be direct distribution deals with other Euroland countries too... what can your local RPG shop tell you about it? Mine was quite forthcoming when I asked them what was going on.

Cheers

Hi Darkness!

I know the Problem to well, because I live also in Vienna :P

But I do buy many, many other Systems and so I still be happy :) (The money I spend in "Spielerei": 360 Euro last week, 240 this week ... I hope there will be nothing new next week ;) )

Have FUN!

This is what psycologist call "compulsive buying syndrome", isn't it?

I envy you!!!! In Italy the last product that arrived is Master of the Wild. The last number of Dragon is 292 ( and I know for sure that n° 293 will never arrive) and Dungeon 90.....
Probably we have the same problem in Italy and in Austria
