A quick introduction.

First Post
Well, id just like to quickly introduce myself; My name is James. Ive just gotten back into DnD(for the... fourth time?) and was quite happy to stumble across this excellent site. Anyways, I've played everything from the good old first ed 'quick set' THAC0 rules, to current 3.5. 3.0 and 3.5 have gained and lost my attention (primarialy as i have moved across the US...) but fortunatly I have been sticking with a single character, a fighter sorceror just on the brink of plunging into the Spellsword Prestige class. Well, I hope im in the right forum (you guys certainly have enough of those around here!).

From one James to another, welcome! :D

There's a "welcome thread" in the off-topic forum- you're right, there are plenty of fora here. There have to be, with the amount of traffic ENWorld gets.

Hope you enjoy your stay! :D

Welcome! Whatever you do, do not talk about monks and improved natural attack. Just don't do it. ;)

:p Why is that? Because you can't admit that they deserve to get it? :p

And also. About those CG paladins .... I've been meaning to bring those up again.

Back on topic ...

Welcome James. See, what I did up above there is what you don't want to do. And ... be careful about jumping in on a 4e discussion. [Tangent] Why is 2e and 4e always followed by a small "e" and 3.x always followed by a big "E." [/Tangent]

Other than that, feel free to pop around. If you like reading other people's stories about their table top campaigns, check out the Story Hour forum. It's also a good place to go if you are interested in reading a little unpublished fiction. [See my sig for a link to my fictional work called Bitterness Overcome] If you want to play a PbP game head on over to the Talking the Talk forum and pick up a game - or head over to the Living ENWorld forums and get into a living game.

Whatever you do, just have fun and avoid calling people out in a post. Go ahead and discuss their ideas, but not the poster themself!

Thanks for posting! Im just curious how you do those cool little 'spoiler' boxes, like you have in your sig, Nonlethal_Force. That would be handy in the game im tring to start. :P btw, i could use some good gamers over there if anyone wants to join another.

To do a spoiler block, surround the text with SBLOCK tags. Like this:

<SBLOCK>This is the text that will be hidden.</SBLOCK>

But don't use the <> symbols use square brackets instead. Here's an example. Quote my post to see how it's done.

[SBLOCK=Demo]This is the text that will be hidden.[/SBLOCK]

LOL! And why not? It has been one of the most popular discussions on the boards. If I recall correctly, there have been in excess of 2000 posts, across half a dozen threads, on this topic in the last year or so, and only one member banned :)
