When you mark something, try to move away from it. That will do one of two things. It will cause the creature to have to decide between following you around the battlefield so that it can attack without penalties, or it will take a penalty to attacks AND will lose a significant portion of its attack power when you use your Aegis of Shielding interrupt power. I find that unlike other defender classes, the shielding swordmage is actually MORE productive when the badguy he marks ISN'T attacking him. Plus, Rrek may be a defender, but he certainly doesn't have Crag's hit points, lol. It probably would have been better if we had been on opposite sides of the battle, with Crag being surrounded by all the baddies, and Rrek helping out Jax with the 2 or three enemies on the other side. We'll have to work on that, get our communication down a bit better. We did a great job, I just see a bit of room for improvment, and I'd like to see you not get downed every battle <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />

Again, not telling you how to play your character, just some ideas and tips. [QUOTE="Kalidrev, post: 5032777, member: 84005"] Crag wipes a few pieces of bullywug off of his chassis and then looks at the gith. [COLOR=Olive]"Are you all right, Rrek? It looks like you took a beating. I think maybe next time we should stick together and force the enemy to follow us." [COLOR=White][sblock=OOC] I'm not one to tell someone how to play their character, but I have played a shielding swordmage before and I have one tip for you. We'll have to work on that, get our communication down a bit better. We did a great job, I just see a bit of room for improvment, and I'd like to see you not get downed every battle ;) Again, not telling you how to play your character, just some ideas and tips.
