Dorn's shroud falls as the dragon lays him low, revealing just how small the young half-orc really is. Ingot fixes its freshly-burning eyelights on the foe and gestures in its direction. A flame leaps from its chest-mounted symbol towards the dragon. As it grazes the great beast, scattered light leaps towards Jax, giving him another chance to clear his vision. "Vulkar... please repair Dorn," the warforged prays after it trots to the edge of the swirling sands left by the dragon's breath. Crag tries to blink out the sand in his eyes, but the sand swirling around him makes it increasingly difficult for that to happen. Standing still so that the sand did not further shred the fibrous bundles beneath his metal chassis, Crag let the arcane energies deep within him rebuild his body. Keeping his eyes closed for a moment, he lets his body relax and conserves as much of his energy as he could. With his shield, he covers his eyes and he blindly stabs out at the dragon in an attempt to keep its attention. Terra responds by gathering some of the swirling sand around him and creates a strong coating of rock over the warden's chassis. Although shielded with his off handed wooden barrier, Crag's eyes are still pummeled with sand and it keeps everything as a dark smear of unrecognizable color. "Ahhhhgh! Jax, stab that stupid dragon in the throat already! I'm getting tired of it breathing this burning sand on us!" Jax feels some sort of warm power beginning to radiant around him. Fearing it is body heat from the dragon, he slices at the air around him in alarm. "Aaack, get away you beast!" The divine energy that Ingot had just generated dissipates. Finch moves across from the dragon and attacks, stabbing the beast with his sword and twisting it, he attacks again, but it misses. [sblock=Finch's attack] vs ac; dmg (1d20 13=22, 1d8 7=13, 1d20 13=14, 1d8 7=13) uses AP for 2 MBA's... 1 hit for 13[/sblock] The dragon once again turns into a cloud of sand, slamming into the three close adventurer's leaving you blinded. You all hear a great digging sound from the northeast, but can't see what's happening. [sblock=Nature DC15] More than any other kind of dragon, brown dragons are driven nearly as much by the desire to discover new tastes as by the need to accumulate a hoard. They so love eating that they sometimes take risks in combat merely to “sample” one or more of their foes. Thus, a brown dragon might take a bite instead of making a more tactically advantageous attack for the chance to taste an enemy, especially a creature it has not previously encountered. Brown dragons prize elf flesh for its succulence and tenderness, and least prefer dwarves, whose tough meat they consider unpalatable unless it is aged [sblock=Nature DC 20] A brown dragon’s breath weapon is a blast of supernaturally hot and stinging sand that corrodes flesh and blocks all visibility [sblock=Nature DC 25] A brown dragon makes its lair under the sands, in a hollow within a ruin, a cave, or a similar structure. A lair can consist of several such chambers, each one an island of air surrounded by an ocean of smothering sand. A brown dragon doesn’t need tunnels—it can burrow between the rooms of its lair without difficulty.[/sblock][/sblock][/sblock] [sblock=Unlocked Monster Stats] Reflex is higher than 18, but lower than 23 AC is 22[/sblock] [sblock=OOC] *Feel free to post in any order, but actions will be resolved in initiative order below* Dragon has now taken approx 180 damage or so. Dragon - move - cloud of sand - moves through Finch, Ingot, & Crag - damage (1d6 4=8) & blinded (save ends) save (1d20 3=5) still hasn't saved against the necrotic. Standard - ? you can't see it... ;) Initiative: Finch - 21 - -13hp, blinded (save ends) Jax - 20 - 22/32, blinded (save ends) Dragon - 14 - used 2 AP, ongoing 5 necrotic (save ends, -2 against this), used Frightful Presence Dorn - 9 15/32+5thp; bloodied, prone, blinded (save ends). <- you're up Ingot - 8 - 21/37+4thp - +4 AC until end of encounter, blinded (save ends) Crag - 5 - 14/56 +9thp - Winter's Herald (+2 Fort), blinded (save ends), bloodied init (Jax, Ingot, Crag, Dorn, Finch, dragon) (1d20 5=20, 1d20 0=8, 1d20 1=5, 1d20 8=9, 1d20 5=21, 1d20 7=14)[/sblock]
