"Hmm... these names do sound familiar. I've had some exchanges with various arcane practitioners in town, looking for someone who could help me get my powers under control." Dorn wracks his memory, trying to figure out who or where these three people might be. Dorn remembers hearing their names mentioned before, or at least the first two. They are adventurer's like himself and his allies, and you recall that they are certainly out on a similar quest to yourself right now. Jax nearly leaps out of his skin when Meepo grasps his tail. "Hey, hands off! I am not a hatchling anymore!" He shakes off Meepo. As the group starts toward the commons, Jax asks Crag "So why aren't we talking to Ezren? We should get our reward money before we go shopping..." "You know, I'll admit that I might have been off a bit about the acrobatics thing, but, Crag, your talk of this staff and this Ezran fellow - especially in conjunction with that Caramel guy - has got me a little scared." Meepo slowed, as if a cool wind was upon him. "Not just that, I seem to recall something..." Meepo remembers one time while he was around the Great Library he happened to overhear someone mention the named Carmorel and that he was working at some new research center opened up in the city, but it wasn't important to you at the time so you don't remember where it was. Ingot buys a specially prepared block of iron at a magical supply shop. It opens its forearm, removing a small smithing hammer from a compartment inside. Next it unclips the holy symbol embedded on its chest. It finds a hard surface, and begins hammering and folding the, um, ingot into a second layer on the symbol. As it does so, it thinks about what has been learned so far about the arcane society, and considers where in the Commons might be interesting to such a group. The discussions about the Commons and the IAC rung a bell to Ingot and he remembers something he saw, or heard he can't recall exactly, about a research center that the IAC had set-up in the Commons. Ingot even managed to recall the location of said center. After nearly an hour of weaving through this part of the city, you arrive at a nondescript building with a well manicured exterior and a barred gate. A bell sits beside the gate, but you see nobody around, nor any movement from the building. Need to find out more about the IAC and more importantly who those names are and where you can find them! 6 successes before 4 failures. So far 3 successes, 1 failure, next primary check gets +2 to the roll (Crag) Primary Skills: Streetwise Arcana History Secondary: Diplomacy/Intimidate - grants +2 on Streetwise Nature - Grants +2 on one of the primary rolls(only 1/round - Crag gets a +2 bonus on this roll) Others - try and sell me on them :) [/sblock]
