A slightly more challenging powergamer contest

The ones that I had listed and any like them are not the type of classes that run around dungeon crawling...

Each of those has sworn to protect a specific area of land or building or people...

If there is a campaign designed with these characters in mind then there is not issue, but if not then how can these characters keep to the roleplay aspects of the class?

Ok Kraedin, here we go.

Lvl 5 wizard, lvl 10 shadow adapt, lvl 5 archmage
Int 18+5+5+6+3 = 37 = +13
Other dc increasing: spell power archmage = 6, spell power shadow adapt = 3, shadow weave magic feat = +1, spellcasting progidy: +1, greater spell focus (transmutation): +4, drug (lords of darkness): +3, spell lvl: 8
Total: 10 + 13+ 6+3+1+1+4+3+8 = 46

(higher is possible, just can't think of it right now)

Dragon needs a 16+ to get save against disintegrate.

Tactic: Walk in, with a Forsight, fly, exp. retreat, 6 times enlarged blindsight (for about 210 ft), haste, improved invisibility and protection from fire on. Use an invisible (for looking through it) animated towershield, taking 100% cover. Walk on until: or you get into a direct line of effect with the dragon, where he will start to throw his bolts, or you get near the edge of the forbiddance spell, in which case you will dispel with greater dispel magic and continue. When you get into a direct line of effect, the dragon will try to fire, but you will be warned by your forsight. Cast timestop, race towards him, hit him multiple times with a disintegrate at lvl 8. Cast timestop again at the end of your first. He has to make a couple of saves, and he is going to miss one of them. And about sr: 20 + 6 (archmage) + 3 (shadow adept) + 4 (greater spell penetration). Thats one death dragon.
