A sole product I'd love to see.

A product I'd seriously like to see: A Source-book for Solo-Adventuring.

Seriously. I realize that this isn't Everyone's cup of tea, and thus the marketing would be low, but speaking from a Content aspect, there could be some serious gold here. It's an untapped situation that could really help some people out there out.

Content:
For players
Character concepts, several for each class and race. Back ground suggestions, feats, PrCs, and Spells, not to mention items for people who plan on being the Sole member of a party, and how to work their stats around to be the most effective, depending on the style they want to do. If they want to be the Max Payne vigilanti, the Indiana Jones Explorer, etc etc.

However, a Bigger section would be dedicated to DMs.
o Ways to DM for each character class in a Solo game.
o How to tool encounters, especially combat, when you're dealing with only one character, as well as base other challanges.
o Adventure suggestions, again for each class and race.

Hey, they could even include ways to do Solo campaigns with a monster PC.

So, Enworld, what do you think?

i have to admit, it might sell really well....however i think in the 1 on 1 groups that are out there, most times the 2 are playing together with a definite sense of what they both want, and this product sounds mostly like an aid in deciding just that.

If this was done properly, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Having only one PC wreaks complete havoc on the CR/EL system, as I found recently when DMing for only one player. Luckily I had a good story situation in place to get the character raised.

Without a guide like this, any future one-on-ones I run will only deal with roleplaying.

A further idea:

Information on how to do successful story rewards for Roleplaying.

That way your Solo character doesnt' need Fighting to advance.
