By surrounding himself with enemies that obscure line of sight, he hopes to provoke AE spells and monk saves + SR means he is far less likely to be affected. </p><p></p><p>It doesn't work on really large formations, but anything less than 100 people tends to be bothered by an anime character charging them at 40mph who jumps over the pike wall and laying people out in the middle of the phalanx.</p></blockquote><p></p>
