A Stupid Dream to Have?

First Post
Hi y'all, I'm new on here, I figured I'd post this up to see if it's worth doing:

Is it worth it to dream of owning and running a 24/7 gaming/comic shop? I want it to have space to game in, plus(obviously) comics, RPGs, and, even though I despise them for the most part, I know they're a necessity, CCGs.

Stupid to dream of, or do y'all think it could work? I'm an avid gamer, I've always dreamed of finding a place like this. Somebody told me Neutral Grounds in NYC is like this, but I've never been there, so I'm not sure.

Don't forget the minis tables and games; my FLGS owner tells me they're key to running a healthy business too. You might try joining GAMA (www.gama.org); they have a mentoring program for game retailers and I imagine that would apply to aspiring retailers as well.

Thanx for the welcome; I understand that it's gonna be a lot of work, a guy I used to game with ran a gaming shop for awhile; then one of his partners torched it for the insurance money. So I know that it's hard to do, but I definitely wanna try.

And, even though they're a nightmare, the LAN games. They'll likely be the only ones in the shop come 3am....

I wish there was a 24/7 shop around here - but even a regular 10-9 shop is a LOT of hard work.

That being said, full steam ahead! I think there's a market for it, but it depends on where you are, I guess. Maine at 3am in November? Not so much...
