A swarm of Orcs?

Haven't properly looked at the new Swarm type in 3.5 but was wondering if applying a swarm template to an Orc (for instance) would make for a viable Rampaging Horde of Orcs and go anywhere towards resolving the mass combat issues of DnD??

By the rules, swarms must be made up of Fine, Diminutive, or Tiny creatures.

Additionally, there is no actual procedure for applying a 'swarm' template to a creature. It seems to be pretty much a case of 'generate a whole new monster'.

Heh. Yeah, I suppose I should have mentioned too... :o ;)

How about making a Swarm of Creatures template? How bout a swarm of oozes, or of rust monsters? Of gibbering mouthers?

Oooh... I love it! I'm on it!

get back to me when you've worked out the stats for a Swarm of Tarrasques. :)

Use the rules in the Monster Manual for changing a creatures size to make the Tarrasque fine, diminuitive or tiny, add the swarm template and bring plenty of clean underwear...

Perhaps you could shrink them...or just find a bunch of midget orcs...

You know how they breed some little dogs really small and call them "teacups" (as in teacup poodle) , your PC could make a fortune breeding teacup Orcs...

one in every home!

Do swarming creatures have to fly?
