A tiny die roller designed to be unobtrusive UPDATE 6/23/08 v2.11

I like this. Its also convenirnt for the PBP DM.

Two sugeestions:

1. In the form field, where you can enter the amount of dice and the number of sides they have, I'd like to see it recognize an upper-case D. As it is right now it only recognizes lower-case d. As a habit I've been using the upper-case d when writing dice values, and its stuck in my brain.

2. When using the form field to generate a number for multiple dice, have the right side bar include the chosen number for each die in parantheses. For example 4D6 / (4+4+4+4) 16. That way if someone wants to generate quick ability scores, they can see the result for all die and then determine the sum for the top 3 dice.

It sounds to me like you might be better served by my DiceChucker program, linked below, a more fully-fledged diceroller with a lot more options.

Incidentally, if you want to roll stats, you can do "4d6h3" which rolls 4d6 and keeps the highest 3. This works in both MicroDie and DiceChucker, as they use the same code for rolling.

I'll update both programs so that they can take upper and lower case letters without a problem. Look for DiceChucker 1.21 and MicroDie 2.11 later tonight.

One last thing: Is the auto-clear supposed to clear the the results for the results on the right side bar?

That was only in the 1.0 version of this program, and it clears the field where you enter the rolls. The idea being that it saves you the step of having to select the text and delete it. As there's no longer a fixed field, the auto-clear setting has been removed.
