As a huge zombie fan, i find that AFMBE is THE and THE ONLY Zombie RPG out there. I have tried other rules, and even the d20 modern conversions in the revised book for a Zombie game, and nothing comes close to the feel that AFMBE has for Zombies. At first i was turned off by the size of the book, but i tell ya, that was one buy that i never regretted. I have gotten more use out of the Main book than i do out of my Players Handbook and DMG. To me Usage is more important than content, books size and page count. You can have a book that is 400 pages cost 50 dollars and have only a few uses for it, and using only like 60 some pages of material out of that 400 page book. I have bought books that looked cool, and i wanted to have, but have only used it once or twice, and now rots on my shelf, money wasted for a product i barely use. I am constantly thumbing through AFMBE and other source books, and it is those books that i use the most now adays, espcially since i am thinking of giving up DnD for a while, and run Unisystem. I find the versatility of Unisystem to be one of its greatest strengths. Heck all you need to do is buy the one book, and make up your own stuff using those rules. SJV on the AFMBE message boards has written up some awesome material, and posted it online for all to use, using Unisystem/AFMBE stuff. And trust me this guy has written some impressive stuff. I think he even did Giant Mutant Spider rules using AFMBE/Unisystem rules. Dont let one source book that dosnt Appeal to you ruin the whole system. I have Zombie Smackdown, and i enjoyed reading it alot. To me i feel that you are missing out on something that you know little about. Go buy it, and trust me, you wont be disappointed. I know i wasnt. Slaunt
