1. The Universe

Just like our universe, this universe is vast, containing over 200 billion galaxies, isolated by terrifying, insurmountable geat voids, making intergalactic travel virtually impossible (perhaps possible, but even the most powerful species couldn't accomplish it).

Similar to the Warhammer 40K universe, this universe contains a parallel dimension called The Outer Plane. It is the projection of the thoughts and emotions of all sentence lifefrom in the material universe, and can, in turn, influence reality. It is the source of what is known as magic, psionic, or any supernatural powers impossible in the material universe. all intelligent mortal species in this universe possess a dual nature: a physical body existing in the material universe and a soul existing in The Outer Plane. Intelligent beings are any organisms with a nervous system; even an ant is an intelligent being with a soul. when the inhabitants of the material universe die, their essence in The Outer Plane—their souls—still be there and gains full autonomy, as they are no longer dualistic beings with a dual nature.

The minds of the inhabitants of the material universe shaped everything in the outer plane, from its physical properties to its life forms. The outer plane is a twisted image of the material universe itself, but defying the laws of physics and reality, yet simultaneously bearing a striking resemblance and connection to it. Like the material universe, it is a vast void, scattered with countless galaxy-like plane clusters, each surrounded by stellar-like main planes which orbiting by the planet-like subplanes—though this similarity ends there. everything in the outer plane is metaphysical. For example, a "planet" or "world" in the outer plane might have an infinite surface area and theoretically possess infinite resources. If you can mine these resources under attack from the local inhabitants and transport them back to the material universe, that would be great profitable.but even the most benevolent outer plane inhabitants (unlike the Warhammer 40K universe, here many are of benevolent alignment) would be very concerned about someone stealing their resources without permission.

Regardless, you better be extremely careful that the local inhabitants don't follow you back to your home in the material universe. If they find your address or a gap in your wall, you could be in serious trouble. These Outer Plane Lifeforms may not be malicious or even friendly, but you never know if they might leak your address or the location of the gap in your wall to some evil beings.

Lifeform living in the outer plane are spiritual beings, born from the minds of the mundane inhabitants of the material universe. In the worlds of Humanoid Species, they are often referred to as gods, demons, spirits, Djins, or something similar. They often worship these supernatural beings, but it's important to note that this is merely a concept within Humanoid Species; most alien species in the universe don't actually know the concept of “worship”.

The most crucial point is this: the higher the intelligence of a species, the more powerful its soul, and the more powerful everything shaped by their soul—especially those Outer plane lifeforms born from their thoughts. and just like the material universe inhabitants who fight for resources and territory, Outer Plane Lifeforms also fight and devour each other. Clearly, powerful species possess powerful souls, powerful souls give birth to powerful Outer Plane Lifeforms, and powerful Outer Plane Lifeforms have a huge advantage in the competition, and in turn, they help their source—the material universe species that gave them life—making them even stronger, or more suitable for producing Outer Plane Lifeforms similar to themselves; this is one of their reproductive methods.

the distances between galaxies range from 2.5 million light-years to 150,000 light-years. The vast void between galaxies is known as the Void of Aeon and Despair. Intergalactic travel must be achieved through teleportation, and even ordinary teleportation spells or technology are completely useless. Special methods are required, using the Outer Plane as a springboard. You can think of this as Warhammer 40K's Warp Voyage; the ships (or similar spacefaring vehicle) must travel in the Outer Plane, encountering various dangers along the way, before leaving at a specific location—meaning that if there are inaccessible areas within the Outer Plane, you cannot reach them directly and must disembark somewhere nearby————in the darkness of the Vast Void of Aeon and Despair.

Another method is to directly communicate with powerful beings existing outside the universe, such as Yog-Sothoth, and successfully borrow their power. Intercourse with such beings is extremely dangerous, especially with Yog-Sothoth, the Outer God who controls time and space; the slightest mistake can lead to incalculable disaster, even for most powerful alien races from other galaxies.

On average, the Galaxies are about 200,000 light-years in diameter and contains over 200 billion celespheres(Solar system). of these, usually only 10 billion are capable of supporting the minimum level of known complex lifeforms, and over 1 billion are capable of supporting most intelligent life. while this seems numerous, fewer than 10 million (one percent) of these celespheres are suitable for humanoid species (and life forms with similar conditions).

2. Mighty Alien Species and Truly Weak Humanoid Species

In a remote corner of the universe, there exists a very ordinary and barren galaxy. Inhabiting this galaxy are creatures called Humanoid Species and you know what they are. they are not a single species, but thousands of various subspecies, differing from one another far more greatly than different breeds of dogs.

they appear to be a artificial servant species created by some more powerful species, but for some reason, their creator perished or abandoned them.

countless species exist in the universe, and intelligent species are not uncommon. however, they vary greatly in intelligence and strength. among these species, the Humanoid Species are an extremely weak one, both physically and spiritually. the average intelligence score of a Humanoid Species is 10, while even in their own galaxy, but the average int of intelligent alien species usually more than 20,or even more than 100.

In this universe, the Humanoid Species have survived without becoming livestock or food, or being completely wiped out, simply because they are lucky.they exist in an exceptionally remote galaxy where alien lifefroms pretty rare and weak. they were like the Dodo birds and Native Americans living on isolate lands, thriving in their homes until more powerful species from elsewhere invaded their territory, and then they are doomed.(don’t talk about the Native americans,European immigrants never slaughter them, never rape them, never steal their land and never driven to the barren reserves.such things never happened,so don’t be triggered..)

In fact, such crisis of powerful intellegent alien species invasion has happened many times, but the Humanoid Species have survived. this is thanks to the existence of the Ancients and their massive Plane Barrier they created, "The Great Wheel."

3. The Ancients, The Plane Barrier (“The Great Wheel”), and the Humanoid Galaxy

The Ancients were the earliest civilization to rise in the Humanoid Species. they were not a single race, but a hybrid regiment composed of hundreds subspecies. however, their exact nature remains unknown. Some say a particular successful subspecies ultimately prevailed, conquering all other Humanoid Subspecies; others say they were a vast federation or alliance. regardless, they successfully established a vast empire spanning countless celespheres and worlds and successfully defended against invasions and predation by other alien species.

their victory and survival were largely due to luck. while many alien races existed in their galaxy were generally as weak as those Humanoid species. occasionally, some extremely powerful alien threat would appear, which the Ancients could eliminate or drive away with immense sacrifice.

However, the situation continued become worse. Intergalactic travel technology began to emerge and spread among powerful species in countless galaxies. Increasing numbers of alien species from other galaxies arrived in the Humanoid Galaxy, and without exception, they were all extremely powerful———of course, because only extremely powerful species could make intergalactic travel. the average intelligence of the Humanoid Species is 10, while the average intelligence of those alien invaders from other galaxies may even exceed 100,they are powerful as gods.

each arrival of these alien invading species is a devastating crisis. for the first time, the Ancients reached a complete consensus, determined to stop such threat witout cost. countless mortals, gods, angels, demons, spirits, and other outer plane lifeforms united, pouring all their power and resource into building an immense dimensional barrier in the outer plane, isolating the Humanoid Galaxy from the rest of the universe. because of this massive barrier, other species cannot reach the Humanoid Galaxy through the outer plane. if they really wish to invade the Humanoid Galaxy, they must disembark in the vast void between galaxies and then traverse the boundless darkness on foot. this immense distance alone is enough to eliminate most invaders.

this enormous dimensional barrier, known as "The Great Wheel," constitutes a vast, isolated region, divided into multiple sectors by the consciousness of the Humanoid Species. Outside the Great Wheel lies what is collectively called "The Far Realm," a terrifying and absolutely untouchable dimension which full of unspeakable horror.

4. under shadow of the Alien Menance

the construction of the Great Wheel brought temporary peace and tranquility to the Humanoid Galaxy. However, the problem persisted. the threat of powerful alien species remained. even though the Humanoid Galaxy still contained vast unknown celespheres, no one knew if any dangerous alien species lived there, or if some powerful extragalactic aliens had arrived and were lying in wait, waiting for their chance.

but nothing happened for centuries and millennials that followed. the Ancients' empire had exhausted almost all its resources building the Great Wheel, and after the external threat subsided, it quickly descended into a protracted civil war, slowly and ultimately leading to their demise.

but their descendants would never forget that in the terrifying dimensions beyond the Great Wheel, the immense alien threat remained. they were always there, and the barriers protecting them were far from foolproof.

If the nightmares of the extragalactic coming again, they would have no one to rely on but themselves.and only war and sacrifice can save themselves.
