Session 27 (10-5-2023): The Voice of Rot's Demand The group does everything they can to escape as quickly as possible. Morthos tries to take the golden seal with him, but he can’t manage to get it past a certain staircase, so he leaves it behind. Meanwhile, Oskár discovers that the seal isn’t made entirely of gold; it’s granite with a thin layer of gold. Earlier, they also found a room where just such a seal could have been located. The layer of acid keeps rising, so they race away. Along the way, they encounter undead that have come to life and fight against them. Among them are three mummies that suspiciously resemble the three half-orcs from Zuna's vision. Thankfully, they manage to escape safely outside. However, once outside, they see creatures approaching them in the rain: zombie crocodiles, skeletons, empty spider carcasses, swarms of centipedes, bats, and bloodthirsty birds. They hear a voice: "Climb!" They realize their only possible escape is to climb up the ziggurat. They climb to the top. Then it seems as if the entire swamp comes to life. A gigantic serpent, made of swamp material and bearing a decayed skull, rises up. It devours a large number of the undead and looks at the group with milky eyes. It introduces itself as the Voice of Rot, a fey titan, and says the following: He threatens to kill the townspeople of Agate if they don’t fulfill his demand to eliminate someone who has escaped from this place. [ICODE]Note: Tbh, the players found this a bit weird. Why is some ancient titan talking to some relatively low-level adventurers? Also, they are crap at word puzzles, so they didn't have a clue what it meant, and even when I explained it, they still didn't get what to do. Also: 'I don't care that much about people in some village I have never heard of and never will hear about again.' They never thought about this fey titan anymore.[/ICODE]
