Accessory books that don't support themself or the core books

A question poped in my mind when I read BoED for the fist time. I noticed at the end of the book a small sidebar that expanded the summon monster list.
Why no other books expan things like that. Almost all the monster books have outsiders and animas to summon.
The only other book that did that is the MM III with the elemental storm.

and another thing
Last week I bought Libris Mortis and it even worst , they put the spell summon undead and dont even put one of the 47 new undead in the same book. The book is full of good ideas but din't related any of the new information. they put undead as classes, undead variant, and undead tactics but not even one undead from the book is covered.

Is any body has a though on that, or a place I can find some list for the summon monster?

And that's not even the biggest error summon undead has, alas.

The problem of one part of the book not talking to the other part is kind of significant. I understand that the parts of the books are often farmed out to different writers, but I think a book like that should have one author whose overarching vision guides all parts of it. Or maybe not.

well, then you get books like Exalted deeds that relies to much on the book Exalted Deeds. I just think Its a no win situation, people are going to not like it no matter what they do.

A web enhasement might help expand the list list , like they did with the half-golem in MM II.
The book has the half-golem from the golem of the first MM and the web enhancement has the half-golem from the golem of the MM II.

This woulb be the best solution to keep more people happy.

I think the 3e planar handbook one has summon monster spell list expansions as well.

Summon monster is tricky though, part of the balancing is the limited list, particularly for clerics. If it was simply a given CR outsider or elemental it would have been different (with appropriate summoning and xp expenditure limits).

Avatar's Handbook, Book of Fiends Web Enhancement, Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary, and Creature Collection II have summon monster expansion lists as well.
