Adamant Entertainment is proud to continue our support for The Imperial Age, our line of Victorian/Steampunk products, made for use with d20 Modern or Past.

Monster Hunters are dedicated to ridding the world of unnatural menaces. While universal in mission, they are diverse in their approaches. Some Monster Hunters are educated scholars who execute careful plans. Others walk in where angels fear to tread once they learn of a monster’s presence. Some Monster Hunters specialize in ridding the world of one type of monster, while others have a more general mission. Some Monster Hunters will work for an organization, while others prefer to work alone. The quintessential Monster Hunter is Abraham Van Helsing, Dracula’s nemesis.

If I can make a suggestion for a product I could really use in this line: a Medium, with all the tropes of Victorian seances etc etc.

I'll be getting this one very soon. Hopefully we'll see a subscription soon as well. ;)

Isn't there already one in d20 Past?

Sort of -- there's a Spiritualist.

Thing is, though, enough people have expressed dissatisfaction with d20 Past that we figured we'd give our take on the Victorian era (why not -- we were already doing the other two genres in the book -- Pirates and Pulp -- before it was released!) so we'll probably give the Medium a shot.

d20 Past is also not in the SRD, which makes no difference to players, but limits the options of 3rd party publishers like Gareth and Daniel - they might want to write an adventure with a NPC spiritualist, for example.

Daniel: Do you have Blood and Spooks from RPGObjects? There is a medium AdC in there that I like, as well as new FX powers like seance, augury and remote viewing. Plus it's open content. :) I can't believe I forgot about it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Jaerdaph. I'll check that out.
As for d20 Past, it's all fine and dandy, but given the specific attention Adamant is giving to the Victorian era with this line, I think there is enough room there to truly address how the medium was perceived in that era as opposed to a somewhat generic class that can certainly fit in the Victorian period but can also be used for other eras/genres.

What I was actually thinking was if something like the Victorian world-view of the spiritual would be covered in the Imperial Magic sourcebook coming soon?

Between Imperial Age and now Passages, I am like a happy fish in a sea of Victorian goodness.
