Adding Templates To Solos

OK, according to the previews, you add a template to a normal critter and it becomes elite; to an elite and it becomes a solo.

What happens if I want a Beholder Vampire Lord?

What's that? A double-solo? Solo++? A Epic*2 monster for you EQ2 folks?

Seriously, what's the formula? I assume it levels up.

This isn't an idle question. IIRC, adding class features is a template, too, so that dragon-mage I want as a BBEG would need the 'wizard' template.

I'd assume (or if it is not clearly defined, I'd take) the same XP "jump" up for each template. So adding one template is a *2 xp boost and then adding a second one would be a *2.5 xp boost. Then compare that new total to the Xp values for encounters and "find the fit" so it might becomea Solo one level higher, an elite two or three levels higher, a standard 5-6 levels higher, or a minion 30 levels higher. ;)

Of course taking it to a new level means adding to its attacks, damages, defenses, etc. too.

Also keep in mind that the new "default" is 5 PC's, so a solo is designed to have the equivalant of 7-8 actions per round (5 standards, 1-2 move, 1 minor), so if your party size is smaller or larger you might want to adjust the solo accordingly as well.
