More seriously I noticed that DriveThruRPG.com had a message up on their front page that Acrobat Reader 7 didn't read DRP manuscripts, so please wait before downloading.

Oh yeah, DRM is such a great idea...

More seriously I noticed that DriveThruRPG.com had a message up on their front page that Acrobat Reader 7 didn't read DRP manuscripts, so please wait before downloading.

And the very fun part is, it works just fine for me.

I mean, totally fine. Completely, utterly without err. I had to reactivate the computer, but the thing works just fine after that.

Is it still FUD if the company themselves are spreading it?

Which may mean
A: that the problem was fixed in one of the updates that are already up for AR7.

or

B: DTRPG was just wrong, and forgot to reactivate DRM on their test machine...

I keep hoping that the DRM will go away, but I know full well that it won't.

The Auld Grump, who was coming here to mention that AR7 seemed to read my old free DTRPG files just fine...
