[QUOTE="Someone, post: 5504631, member: 5656"] You continue concentrating your efforts on the large skeleton and it’s nearby allies. A large flash rocks the zone, disintegrating masses of flies and sending the bug-covered undead, badly seared, flailing it’s arms in panic and falling just at Brenwar’s feet, who used the distraction to pass under the giant’s legs and, on his way, strike at it with all his might. The skeleton, half blinded by the flash, can’t find where the paladin is. As the mage hurries to flee away from the painful the last undead, who also was caught in the blast but just keeps on his (almost literally) last leg, stumbles forward to strike at Brenwar, but he’s protected by unearthly powers and the sword shatters before harming the champion. Indifferent to this miracle, the corpse just picks up another weapon from the ground. Meanwhile at the rearguard the two wights surge forward like ghosts from behind the rocks or the inside of the cloud of flies, run at their targets, strike swiftly and slip away with some rasping, snorting sounds that you interpret as laughs. Halleck and Joy fall on their knees as they fight to catch air. Or in Halleck’s case, flies. [sblock=actions] Joy move, uses Misdirected mark against minion, fails to hit Brenwar moves out of the Plage Cloud’s area of effect drawing an AoO that fails, successfully hits the skeleton for 14 after spending his Heroic Effort power. Halleck uses canon of avoidance on Brenwar, hits wight 1 despite it having cover from bushes and/or rocks, moves. Porphyria moves slightly, blasts the mage badly but fails to hit the minion. Large skeleton fails to recharge his big blow, so it just keeps pounding on Brenwar. Pathetic roll of 18 isn’t going to do much good however. Last minion draws his sword, steps towards Brenwar and barely hits with a roll of 27, deleting 7 of his THP and marking him again. If you have a +1 to AC I didn’t register, he didn’t touch you. Bug-Mage gets up, fails to recharge Unholy Vitality, shifts to current position, Sustains zone and moves it to current position. Wight 2 repeats strategy; charges Halleck and rolls a 26 VS AC, dealing 8 damage and erasing yet another HS. Then shifts away and moves to D3. Wight 1 does the same (they have speed 7) this time against Joy. Hits AC 28 despite penalty, deals 9 damage, wipes one surge, shifts away and moves. [/sblock] [sblock=enemies] Lore: The bug-animated corpse is a rare kind of undead created from the corpse of a mage or warlock after it’s been infested by insects.
