[QUOTE="Someone, post: 5505767, member: 5656"] [ooc]corrected from last round: wight’s positions, Brenwar’s hit points I can’t find a quote, but I’d say I saw somewhere that vulnerabilities and resistances don’t stack, so we’ll go with that ruling unless someone else with better rules-fu finds something official. [/ooc] The battle goes on. Brenwar holds his ground against assault on all sides, and the constant battering on his shield and armor are taking it’s toll, and the paladin is starting to feel tired. With supreme effort, he smashes again on the gigantic skeleton’s frame and crushes most of the upper body structure. Now the undead beast has only one arm, but even then it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop fighting. At the rearguard one of the wights finally realizes Porphyria’s thread and runs at her, full speed, coming over the mound. She too tastes the cold touch of death, and the wights surround her position, waiting for another opportunity to strike. The other wight is fooled by Halleck, who expertly feints drawing it’s attention, allowing Joy to strike several times. Her aim is spoiled by the cloud of flies, but at least forces the undead abomination to stumble away with ungainly steps, much different to the agile strides it’s capable of. [sblock=actions] Porphyria fails with blazing starfall, moves zone. Brenwar attacks twice with the help of an action point, deals 16 damage. The skeleton (and the mage) look nearly destroyed. Joy moves, attacks wight, fails to hit. Halleck sustains his AC bonus on Brenwar, then shifts and gains bonuses to defenses by doing so, then successfully hits for 7 damage. Wight obligues with his MBA, but with the still going penalty and hefty bonuses to Halleck’s defenses he’s unable to connect despite rolling quite well. Joy takes her AoO (I took the liberty to roll it) but again fails to hit the wight. Bug mage fails to recharge Unholy Vitality, looks for shelter among the bushes and targets Porphyria with his Blinding Cloud at will. Luckily for her, he fails her Fort defense by just 1. Finally Sustains and moves the cloud of flies. Wight 2 moves, climbing the mound and charges Porphyria; his movement is high enough to allow him do so. Hits AC 24, deals 6 damage and vaporizes one of her surges. Since it hit, it can shift 3 squares to where it’s now. Wight 1 attacks Joy, failing to hit this time, then shifting 1 square this time with his move action. Large skeleton attacks Brenwar, finally rolls well and hits AC 30, dealing 10 damage. Substracting one from Brenwar’s resistance, this means he’s out of THP. Shifts south with move action. The last undead attacks Brenwar too, crits for 6 damage after resistance, marks the paladin again. Shifts SE with move action. [/sblock] [sblock=enemies] Lore: The bug-animated corpse is a rare kind of undead created from the corpse of a mage or warlock after it’s been infested by insects. Though not physically powerful or durable, they can summon clouds of flies to hamper and harass its enemies. Some of the undead, the undamaged ones, are wights. They can steal your life force with a touch. Large skeleton: AC 22 FORT ?? REF 19 WILL ??. MBA (Reach 2, threatening reach): +13 VS AC; 2d6+7 damage. Undead legionaries (minion) : AC ?? FORT ??
