[sblock=ooc]Volleyball turned into an unexpected double header tonight... I'll record and post updated status after the healing later... zzzzz...[/sblock] [sblock=Chaku / search results] In your search of the bodies, you recover some gold coins of an unfamiliar minting. They are wider but thinner than the coins commonly found in Daunton. They total 40 gp. The wereserpent also had a stone vial of liquid. [sblock=Arcana (auto, trained only)]It's a potion of healing.[/sblock] Both the halflings' and the lycanthrope's armor is of a strange construction. Over a more-or-less ordinary suit of leather jack are sown patches of other leather, some snakeskin, others perhaps humanoid. These patches seem decorative rather than functional. In their hair, in addition to feathers and beads are snake scales stuck with some kind of adhesive. They sparkle a bit in the light. (Note, personal hygiene was not the strong suit of these people...) All three bodies had a carefully wrapped obsidian bowl in an inner pocket of the armor. The bowls are crudely made and not particularly valuable. They are etched with a rough scale pattern and a brownish residue is inside. The residue matches stains around the lips of the corpses. Finally, each had a pouch on a leather thong around the neck. Inside the pouch is a brownish-black powder mixed with some grey lumpy bits of a different material. [sblock=Nature DC 12 (active or passive)]Judging from the smell and color, the powder is likely dried and powdered zocalti. The lumps are harder to identify.[/sblock] [sblock=Nature DC 17 (active)]The lumps are definitely plant material as well.[sblock=Nature DC 22 (same roll)]The lumps come from a plant root. They've been dried as well.[/sblock][/sblock] (Assuming you share your discoveries with others they should just go ahead and read this block.) [/sblock] Krassus is obviously still shaken, but the questions directed his way seem to help him gather focus. "What happened?" he says. "These maniacs - savages, they came in and started killing... killed the guards, killed everyone. Burned the trees and took the zocalti we'd finished drying." He looks around at the group, his gaze lingering on the nodding kobold in brief puzzlement. "Uh, you obviously know who I am. But who are you? What are you doing here?" His eyes narrow with suspicion. He looks over at Kaeysari. [sblock=Imperial/Elven]"You're a citizen of the Imperium? So then I suppose you're in charge?"[/sblock]
