As the group proceeds down the passageway, you reach an area that has moderate (dim) lighting. There is a red glow about the stone, but not the glow of warmth. Some light source much farther ahead is reflected all the way down the small glistening red stone, and moisture seems to be stuck to the wall. There are seven corpses along the walls. Careful observation shows that they appear to have been thrown into the walls, perhaps breaking their bones. They have bruises, limbs twisted in strange ways, and their tissue appears to have been burned. Kreepto reacts to the sight with some degree of horror but mostly excitement, "Kreepto recognizes these men! These men worked with kreepto! These men were miners!" Jaret: You are able to determine that the cause of death on most of these bodies was not the force that threw them into the wall and cracked their limbs into disarray, but the actual fire which boiled through their eyes and flesh almost instantly is what killed them. Some of their more mortal wounds (such as the broken bones) appear to have been rather enduring, perhaps the men were living with them for more than a few days. Vanadan: The dust in the air appears to be gone here, and you can identify that these bodies were, prior to their demise, undead. Marl & Grog: You can see what looks like a small white cloth hanging over human-sized person at the very edge of your vision.
