Message: <blockquote data-quote="johnmeier1" data-source="post: 5085036" data-attributes="member: 73730">Janus creeps forward towards the next pillar mumbling arcane incantations, the floor near the Vampire turns to ice but quickly dissipates as Janus fumbles the scribing of the sigils.  The vampire spawn move slowly down the columns, trying to hide their movements.  Despite the gloom, Murphy spots his target, the shadows doing little to protect from one who lives amongst them. The assassin creeps forward and carefully takes aim at the enemy. With the creature clearly in his sights, Murphy takes aim, but slips on a bit of loose rubble and his shot goes wide.  Shorrin moves forward slowly, his shield covering his front.  He throws his hammer... straight into the groundDextyr hears the fight begin and makes his way around the corner. Once he sees the horror which they face he quickens his pace and gets with range for an attack and begins to sing an melodic battle hymn.  "You will NOT harm that girl you abomination, and you shall perish this night.  By sword and by spell my friends and I will be your demise" Dextyr shouts, his words seeming not to have any effect on the creature, but stirring the hearts of his comrades.  Tonk charges forward and smacks the creature with his mace, seeming to be invigorated by the hit.Larinza turns towards Dextyr and with a glazed look over her eyes lashes out at him with her glaive.  The bard takes a minor wound from his ally, confusion on his face.  The vampire turns to Tonk, looking angry now.  You will die first.  Come down my pet!  Suddenly one of the vampire's minions moves down the column and charges the half-orc.  The creature slashes at him with its claws, only drawing a little blood but causing a distraction.  The vampire moves with lightning speed and bites Tonk, draining his blood.  He releases the bite and grins at his bloodied victim, licking his lips and his wounds healing instantly.He steps back from the group slightly as Larinza seems to come to her senses but still feels dazed by the assault on her mind.[sblock=mechanics] Tonk heals 4 from hitting the vampire.  Larinza uses an at-will Wolf Pack Tactics on Dextyr <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2401968/" target="_blank">1d20+7=22 for 2d4+5=8</a> damage.  One of the spawn charges Tonk and flanks with the vampire.  Claws <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2401975/" target="_blank">1d20+13=17</a> for 5 necrotic damage.  Vampire uses Blood Drain on Tonk <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2401978/" target="_blank">1d20+11=17 vs Fortitude for 1d12+2=13</a> and he heals completely.  Larinza is now only dazed TENTLet me know if I forgot any modifiers, but I think this is right (Dextyr has some ongoing effects)[/sblock][sblock=status]All PCs can go, the other 3 vampire spawn will delay after Janus.  Perception 20 to see where they are.Name Init Pos HP HS AP Tonk 21 J21 4/29 1/8 0  bloodiedLarinza 18 K16 34/34 6/8 2 Dazed TENTVampire Spawn 12 I21Vampire 12 K22 used Dom Gaze, used Blood DrainJanus 11 L11 27/30 3/7 2Shorrin 9 K15 43/43 6/13 2Murphy 8 N13 37/37 6/8 1Dextyr 8 J14 29/33 6/10 0 burst 5 +1 attack to alliesGirl hostage J22 (on altar of stone, tied down with rope on each limb)[/sblock][sblock=map]<img src="http://www.enworld.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=42936&stc=1&d=1265828767" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" />[/sblock]</blockquote>
