Boothill Battle, round 3, partial Correction to Round 2: Vargo, as he indicated in his last note, follows Huln to LongTooth and is ready to “aid another” when Huln attacks next round. Sorry, missed that movement. Further issue from Round 2: Ogrin wanted to draw his short sword, this requires a successful grapple check (and is a MEA). Ogrin rolls a “3” and slinker a “9”. He fails to draw his short sword and must try again next round. (I didn’t know drawing it requires a grapple check). ROUND3: LongTooth 20 Hallidor 20 BatS 19 Slinker 17 Ogrin 16 Stinker 14 Raz 13 Zaeryl 13 Juliana 11 Almayce 6 Vargo & Wolf 1 I20: LongTooth, somewhat perplexed by the turn of events, is nevertheless game. “Oh I’ll bow; I’ll even kiss your foot,” growls LongTooth, removing a hand from his weapon and reaching out for Juliana’s ankle, “and after I kiss it, I’ll chew off a few toes.” In other words, he attempts to grapple Juliana. Juliana naturally gets an AOO; she rolls a “7” (-4 for fighting defensively, +4 vs prone, etc.) and misses. LongTooh, watching her “flail” about, can’t help but smile a bit. He grabs at her ankle; rolls a touch attack of “1” and utterly, and completely, fails. Big time. “ARRRGGH!!!” LongTooth rages, jumping to his feet, tired of groveling at foot-level. Huln sees an opening and attacks with an AOO; because LongTooth is “getting up” he’s not prone thus no +4. “8”. Misses anyway. Even Vargo gets a hack in, and attacks with a shortspear. Rolls a “18” and misses. I mean, the guy has –1 to hit. That stuff happens. So, finally, LongTooth stands up! I20: Hallidor bleeds. Does not stabilize. I19: The bat swarm moves towards the source of greatest heat (and blood), that being Slinker, Stinker, Ogrin, and Raz. The bats can’t quite stretch enough to get to everyone. Too bad. Raz, however, takes damage, as does Stinker. Raz takes 4 and is now bleeding, Stinker takes nothing. *attacking through a swarm* When attacking an opponent through a swarm, the opponent gains +2 to AC. The swarm can be attacked without penalty. Everyone who was bat-bit, bleeds 1 point, if you have not been cured a little. I17: Slinker, happily grappling, attacks with his bite (at –4 because he’s grappling). He rolls a “14” and misses. I16: Ogrin attempts to draw his short sword (MEA, requires grapple check) and fights defensively, and attacks if he has a sword. He fails to draw his sword. So instead of attacking he attempts to draw his short sword again. Fails again. God. Slinker is a sneaky one. I14: Stinker, not much caring about the bats, attacks Raz with a poke and a bite.
