She opens her palm and the whistle that they'd used for watches gleams in the shadows under the trees. Her eyes are bright, hopeful. She looks from Velbrik to Jaan. Jaan to Velbrik. Her wilting wreath of flowers droops and she idly pushes it back onto her brow.</p></blockquote><p></p>
