A tense silence hangs in the air for but a moment before the great construct leaps down into the center of the party. Haltor, White-eye, Deimos and Braddock feel an overwhelming sensation in their brains and suddenly they realize there's no way they could defeat such a powerful foe, only by joining her can they survive. Haltor's powerful desire to stop the creature prevent it from totally dominating his mind, but the halfling is still left seeing spots from the attack. "Move aside mortals!" the dragon commands and Deimos and Braddock follow its words and move aside, and even the halfling's mount follows. "Come, onto my back and we'll depart. Secrecy is key to my plans" the warforged calls out, gesturing for Mal, Talos and Tock to jump on. The trio grab on and the dragon flies out of the large doors and out past the room with the machinery before disappearing from sight. As the dragon departs her power loses hold on the group and they shake the cobwebs from their minds. At that moment a familiar foe (at least to Haltor) moves out of the forge fires, "Greetings halfling, I overheard you talking about your missing friends. Don't worry, you shall join them soon enough" the forgewraith hisses. You see teetering around the corner, your (well...Haltor's) former allies, Alex and Vistrathis, but something's clearly different about them. Perhaps it's the machinery bits that seem grafted onto them, or the vacant looks in their eyes, but you know they aren't friends anymore. [sblock=ooc] Ok, Dragon used Commanding Voice to dominate (or stun) Team Haltor, giving Team Merc time to escape. Now, there's still the matter of Haestus (and co.) to deal with for the trio. Initiatives please. H is in M16, Vist is R12, Alex is G12... let's get it on! Team Merc. I'll be posting your XP here once this battle is over, but I expect around 1k xp or so + 3 RP's. However I need to write up the adventure and submit to the judges for approval. Week's been crazy but should be in better shape hopefully this weekend. (kids are outta the hospital and finally getting better). [/sblock]
