The downpour slows to a drizzle that eve. The fog, on the other hand, persisted. Scun's and Rillian's watches were uneventful and undisturbed. The sense-numbing effect of the marsh began to eat at their minds, however. The fog made it almost impossible to see anything. The rain made it impossible to hear anything. Scun took some comfort in the fact that these also worked in their favor, concealment-wise. But then, should anything be waiting for them... then they may sense the trap too late. When Rillian awoke Nezrak for the early morning watch, he made preparations to carry out his surprise for Mona. With Scun's permission, he took the half-orc's fishing net. The fog made it difficult for him to look for the area where he and Mona had sunk into. The light of early morning could not pierce the ever-present rainclouds above the swamp. But then, he had time and some degree of caution. Several hours into his search, he thought he found the spot he was looking for. He looked for the wet pieces of paper that Mona threw aside, but he could not find them. But the almost invisible tracks in the area were probably theirs. It took sometime to get used to the fishing net. He had to learn how to cast, draw and fold it by himself. This took some time, but Rillian was a quick-witted fellow. He managed a method of his own and attempted to fish for the holy symbol in the fog and darkness. ************************* Meanwhile, in the camp. Nezrak shouldered the watch for a few hours. After he was done, he awoke Ogrin for his turn at the early morning watch. Now fully rested, the elf then sat down to prepare his spells for the new day. ************************* A completely soaked Rillian made his way back to the camp an hour or so after grey dawn began to break through the clouds. Several hours of "fishing" bore no fruit. Furthermore, he got lost on his way back since the fog allowed little in the way of seeing landmarks and even intuiting direction. It was a tiny miracle that he got back after only one hour of being lost. He would've stayed even longer, but he knew that the party would make their descent into the ruins as soon as possible. By the time of his return, Mona had finished her morning prayers to Hyrag and had taken the reins of watching the camp from Ogrin. She insisted that Ogrin take more time to rest from what had happened and took the watch from him when her prayers were done. At this time, Scun was in the middle of his own devotions to Mongrel. "I thought you were asleep. Where did you go?" she asked upon seeing Rillian walk into the camp.
