The night passes without incident. Some of Ismene's people are up at first light, setting cooking fires, and the camp is already in motion by the time the sun is fully above the hills to the east. "I talked to your captive," Ismene says over breakfast. "I think I've figured out where he comes from. Those of you who were here before will remember that tower where Ruthak and his gang were. That's one of a string of 'em, all up and down Derianis ridge. A lot are just ruins now. Ruthak's one was the most intact, but the next one north of that still has its walls standing. This goblin you brought in talked about a tower with no roof, and I'm guessing that's the one. We probably ought to take a look at it before--" "Ismene, Thais said to come get you," one of Ismene's people interrupts. "That unconscious woman from yesterday looks like she's waking up." Ismene nods and stands up. "Want to go take a look?" she asks, then, taking a final bite of her breakfast, strides off towards a shelter at the other end of the camp. Inside the woman who collapsed in the road the previous day is lying on a cot, with her head on a silk pillow that looks out of place in this rustic hut. As the group enters she stirs a bit, groans wearily, and then opens her eyes. She looks around at the oddly assorted group in some confusion, and blinks as if she's trying to get some false image out of her eyes. "Wh...where am I?" she says at last. "Safe, for now," Ismene says. "It's been... it's been like a dream. I don't even... What day is it?" When Ismene tells her, she looks worried and nervous. "I hope I am not too late," she says.
