Hey everyone, I usually never play published adventures and always have been on of those "prepare my own adventures" sort of guy. I always though published adventures were too rigid and never bothered to buy one. So last summer the Tomb of Horrors remake reaches my doorstep and I have since then been tempted to give it a try. Finally came a moment in the adventure where I could fit a tomb in, so Acerarak appeared in the campaign as someone holding a powerful Cleric hostage in it, and I could finally run it yesterday (up until room number 9). And boy, what a blast we had. Simply put, no dungeon I have ever planned comes close to the fun we had on this one. Every trap so far was well planned, and every mystery was engaging. I unfortunately don't have time to prepared such tightly, well crafted dungeons such as this. So I would like to know if you guys recommend some published dungeons (or adventures) like the Tomb of Horrors. Lots of puzzles and traps peppered with some exciting encounters. WotC, 3rd party, internet done, anything. I am aware that there may be no dungeon like Gygax's Tomb of Horrors (and Scott did an amazing job updating it and making it deadly but not frustratingly so), but I can settle for something akin. The adventures I have skimmed through are usually the Dungeon magazine one and some WotC published ones, but I really don't like using whole story arcs, I think they are too railroady. The fun thing about the ToH is that I could just plug it in my campaign with little adaptation and have a terrific dungeon in the middle of my campaign. I looked at Dungeon Delve but I found the mini encounters too bland. Thank you guys in advance for the suggestions!
