Jack looks up, "Correction other ones. Yep knew it was going to be a bad day." Taking aim at the retreating Harpy Jack releases his arrow and watches with a heavy heart to see if all those hours of archery practice will pay off, whipping past the branches and past a startled Chik, the arrow strikes true and sinks into the harpies flesh, with a faint cry the harpy goes limp and begins to plummet directly towards the climbing Chik. Catching a glimpse of the creatures emerging from high in the tree, the though crosses Chik's mind that he might be better off climbing back down and joining the group. Never too sensible when it came to making judgment calls though, Chik decides to press on and attack. He shouts to the group "Catch me if I fall!" With that, he climbs up the tree. Seeing Jacks arrow strike the harpy Chik lets out a cheer which is abruptly cut off as he realises that the harpy is falling directly towards him, hugging the trunk of the tree Chik momentarily closes his eyes in anticipation, hearing the loud whoosh as the harpy falls within inches of him, Chik opens his eyes to see the harpy falling towards Thyrd "Watch out below" Thyrd hearing Chik's warning manages to leap out of the way of the harpy. With a bone snapping crunch the harpies fall is abruptly stopped by the unyielding ground, leaving the harpy a barely recognisable twisted lump of gore. ~~~~ Leonara slowly heads back to the others, her bow ready to fire, should one of the harpies come out for a clear shot. Stalker staying close, as usual. "Looks like we've found our bandits." Thodan looks around at his companions, and raises his voice. "Stand close now, and the power of Tempus will protect you from the harpy song." Noting his opponents now have bows, Thodan slings his axe, leaving his hand free for spellcasting should the opportunity arise. Swooping down from the tree 3 of the younger harpies begin to sing their captivating song, those within the protection of Thodan's magical circle are immune to the deadly effect, while those outside of the magical protection quickly stop what they are doing and beginning grinning serenely while a glazed expression settles upon their faces. One of the younger harpies (#3) flies over the heads of those protected by Thodan's spell, plucking a round bead from a necklace she wears the harpy hurls it at the group, as the small bead strikes the ground it erupts into a ball of flame. As the blast clears it's apparent that several of the wagons were damaged by the blast, also lying on the ground burnt almost beyond recognition is Glandreds mount and what remains of her possessions. The two adult harpies both fire their arrows at their selected opponents, two arrows zoom towards Glandred, one bounces off her armour without causing damage while the other grazes her arm. Thodan faes much better and manages to avoid the two arrows directed at him. Glandred eyes her crossbow, looks at the harpies touting clubs, shrugs her shoulders and grips her axe loosely in her hands as she positions herself to protect the archers in the group "C'mon me pretties, let's see who hits hardest" she calls to the bird women. Nira’s expression slowly alters from grief to awe as her eyes suddenly reflect the large group of Harpies shooting out from the upper reaches of the tree. “Great one, you truly have been abused…” She whispers quietly to the large tree. Though badly scorched by the attack Nira holds her holy symbol still in her hand and closes her eyes, reaching deep within herself she begins to cast the complicated spell. Whispering a soft payer she calls forth the mystic energies that have been with her for as long as she can remember. “Wardens of the wood, I call upon your aid once again.
