Adventuring/Troubleshooting Company Names

Help me ENWorlders, you're my only hope!

I need ideas for naming an adventuring company in a D&D Eberron campaign.

For those familiar with the adventure Mark of Prophecy, I made Lord Bren ir'Gadden the PC's patron. As many retired military officers are wont to do in our own world, he has become an independent contractor of sorts created a company of "troubleshooters" for clients with the right amount of coin. Recognizing the PC's skills, he invited them to be come the company's first members.

I asked the players to provide a name for this company, but they all had blank expressions. I have to admit I'm at a loss for a name myself. I know I don't want anything too modern sounding (no "ir'Gadden Solutions", thank you).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't have enough ranks in Knowledge (Eberron) to be able to tell what's appropriate. Me, I would have come up with something as pulp-ish/'30s-ish as possible -- ir'Gadden & Associates or the like. But that's probably too modern.

Edit: maybe give some more info on the PCs? Their names, races, species, notable activities or the like. Where are they based?

Thanks for the replies, ideas, and link to previous discussion on this subject! After doing a bit of research, it seems company naming styles I thought of as anachronistic aren't so at all. Also, some companies' names can be quite ostentatious. Witness The Mystery, Company, and Fellowship of Merchant Adventurers for the Discovery of Regions, Dominions, Islands, and Places Unknown AKA The Company of Merchant Adventurers, a company founded in 1551, for example.

I'm thinking a good start would be something along the lines of: The ir'Gadden Company and Fellowship of Stalwart Trouble Shooters, Inquisitives, and Adventurers AKA The ir'Gadden Company. Hee! :heh:

Makes me want to get a monocle.

Too pompous?
