[QUOTE="PatrickLawinger, post: 2358914, member: 2735"] I guess the point I was trying to make is that you are asking someone to download something to decide whether or not to give you money. A lot of people simply aren't going to take that step. Generally, if you want to make a sale you have to go out and convince someone to make a purchase (in your case, advertising in your 'zine) not sit back and wait for them to expend energy to become convinced. I like what I saw with your 'zine and would love to see it be successful and for you to keep it going. I just don't think you are going to pick up many new advertisers by this method. I would suggest looking up the rpg publishers that you consider your market and directly sending them information about advertising. Don't do this more than once or people will get annoyed by the "spam." Make sure you word your letter carefully and politely, include your DEMO information and possibly a link to download the 'zine. Don't send file attachments or large .pdfs or anything like that. This requires you to expend the energy to look up the companies, email addresses, etc. Expending that extra energy shows the people you want to advertise with you that you are serious about what you are doing. Selling advertising in any sort of magazine, whether a large print publication or a small e-zine, is generally a slope that must be climbed and climbed again. I wish you the best of luck.
