You are right, the mobility feat would be a great addition to the build. Definitely going to try and work it in there if possible. This actually makes a lot of sense. I still very much like the action surge simply from all the possible uses it brings to the table. Two Weapon Fighting does seem like a lot of investment for a bit of extra damage that I would rarely get. Might drop it for something else all together... Although aside from Archery (would be kool to be able to assassinate from afar if the situation demands it), none of the other fighting styles really fit into my character. Gonna give it some extra thought. DM says technically it makes sense, but that would set a bad precedent for other players to start asking for thematic cosmetic changes. I can understand how that would lead down a slippery slope that could lead to players feeling cheated or think I get preferential treatment. I originally looked at Ranger instead of Fighter, seemed a more natural choice. But the versatility of action surge has gained a lot of value to me. I plan to progress as Rogue 3 > fighter 2 > Monk 6 > Rogue 12. I think this would lead towards a nice story of my character starting as a Spy or Criminal who slowly gets influenced by his friends through many adventures, but eventually is either unable to escape the life of an assassin or wishes to demonstrate how rogues can use their powers to protect those close to them (open to change according to campaign progression, but its an idea). Regarding the Warlock lvl 2, I think this is the hardest choice I have to make. I was completely unaware that my character would not be able to see after using the Darkness spell, something I planned on using a lot. The extra damage from spells is also nice to have, but like I mentioned earlier, I keep getting more and more attached to the idea of action surging in emergencies. I can definitely see how necrotic damage can fit into the chaos assassin theme as well as the much needed vision. This is going to be a tough decision. I think no matter what route I end up going, I will have a blast playing this character. Thank you everyone for taking the time to help me out!
