Aerials are predators of the skies. The resemble hairless humanoids with no mouth or nose. Aerials breathe through a set of holes located where the nose would be. They stand at an average of 7 feet in height and weigh around 200 pounds. They have loose skin that runs from their wrists down to their ankles (like a flying squirrel).
Since aerials have no mouth, they have very limited communication but understand all languages.
COMBAT
Aerials prefer to swoop down on unsuspecting victims and try to engulf them in their folds. If this does not work, then they attack by slashing at the target.
Engulf (Ex): An aerial can try to wrap a Medium-size or smaller creature in its body as a standard action. The aerial attempts a grapple that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. If it gets a hold, it produces a bile acid that eats the victim away. Engulfed victims may make an opposed grapple check to try to break free but each round they are engulfed, they receive a -1 to their roll.
Attacks that hit an engulfing aerial deal half their damage to the monster and half to the trapped victim.
Bile Acid (Ex): When the aerial engulfs a victim, it secrets an acid that completely dissolves the target in 6 rounds. The victim's clothing and weapons are unaffected and all that is left are the clean picked bones.
Limited Telepathy (Su): Aerials cannot speak so they have developed a limited form of telepathy. They can reach into the minds of others and communicate via emotions and body language.
Cold Vulnerability (Ex): Aerials are susceptible to cold attacks. They take an additional point of damage from all cold based spells and spell-like abilities.
