I like the approach of mythological accuracy, aiming for a specific era 1500s-1600s, and regions of Africa (plus diaspora).

If Amharic and Arabic are one region, they require sensitivity to remain distinct from each other, for reasons similar to avoid confusing Japan and China.

Interesting. That first image he shows of the Heimdal-esque character with a triceratops skull shield - that is a custom piece of art from my very first Tomb of Annihilation campaign! A friend of one of my players painted it for her PC. I wonder how this guy found it! It must be online somewhere.

Interesting concepts. I like it. Africa is rich with culture, history and traditions, although, Northern Africa and Sub Saharan Africa are very different, primarily because of Ottoman influence in the north and spread of Islam. But Sub Saharan part, now that's, imho, more interesting.

Interesting. No idea where to start but to me it's more interesting than Ninjas. Samurai and Not Meso America.

When I used to play EUIV sometimes you would end up in Africa so read up on the Nation you played eg Morocco, Songhai Butua, Kilwa etc.

One of my settings has a "African" continent that is split in similar ways (North, South, East, West, Central) except I make the North America Diaspora and Afro-Latino Diaspora separate regions.

My players NEVER go there so It's barely defined so this is something I could use in case they ever do.
