(OOC: this pretty much either lets you convert a memorized spell into one of a few specific spells, or each metral rod acts like a rod of metamagic, except that it ceases to function after 3 uses rather than per day.   You may choose what is initially in it, and you have a limited supply of additional metal sticks)</blockquote>
