This disease, though apparently not deadly, slowly ate away at his once great physical strength and stamina over a period of years. In Australia his primary schooling was done over long distance radio seeing as he lived in such a remote location, and when his parents moved back to France he went to high school there (undoubtably this transition caused some culture shock). By the time he finished school he had seen many, many doctors, none could help, he was known as a strange anomily in the medical world. This caused him to start his own search for a cure, which involved interacting with a lot of frauds and apparent holy men. He also did some probing of the past to find probible previous cases. All was to no avail, but eventually he got so good at this searching for people and things business that he became an incredibly successful private eye. He soon earnt enough money to buy himself a custom made hand gun, a titanium plated .440 Cor-Bon Desert Eagle with laser pointer, and a few double column 14(13+1 for gun enthusiasts) round magazines. He treasured it, but was never afraid to put it to good use. Time ticked away, he became quite good at picking out fact from fiction but still had no cure. His body became a little frail as he reached the age of 30, but with some effort he was able to slow down the process due to an expensive diet. Finally it seemed the time was right to confront him. Even though authorities wanted this guy alive Jaque couldn't help but bring along his prized side arm just in case. He drew a magazine from a belt pouch hidden under his jacket and slowly slid it into butt of the Desert Eagle. When he heard it click into place he flicked off the safety and pulled the slide to chamber the first round. He decided to try and get in around the back, the front was too open for him. As he crept up alongside the house he noticed the Jaguar parked in the garage, but something seemed off, he decided to take a look. He walked over to the car, it was obviously not your standard sports car. He took a couple of minutes to look it over and could only describe the thing as 'futuristic' afterwoods. The things had gizmos coming out every which way, it was unreal. He shook off his puzzlement at how high tech this thief really was and proceeded around the back of the villa. Jaque rolled on his side to get out of the way, and as the vehicle passed he fired three rounds at it, one missed, one hit a back tire and the final one grazed the driver's shoulder.
