Himmlers daughters name, how about the Gauleiter of Dresden? And you grew up where they were extensively documented, filmed, open society and not actively buried. Only equivalent I can think of is living in Nazi Germany trying to dig up details of Hitlers pre WW1 life or Stalins life pre 1914 during his reign. Those details were actively suppressed, very few people knew and the ones who did weren't talking. Himmler knew  details Tarkin did as well. 1937 Germany 25 years ago Hitlers pre war life 1912 or earlier. Living memory , famous figure. Average German inhabitant can learn. New Disney canon once Vaders was Leias father leaked it sunk her career. Anakin and Padmes relationship was a secret, Hitler and Eva Braun wasn't common knowledge either. That's what we're looking at. Yes Jedi existed, people knew they existed those details though...... No net though in Star Wars, no one interviewed Luke, every other Jedi is dead or in hiding, Bail died at Alderaan, Mon Mothma probably came up with may the force be with you in the rebel Alliance she knows a bit more. Jedi weren't forgotten, Han doesn't know much and doesn’t believe in the tales.</blockquote>
